Description
Anhinga birds are also called snakebirds because their slender bills and neck make them look like snakes especially when they stretch their necks or swim in the water with only their slender neck above the water. They are also called water birds because they can swim under the water from one place to another. But their feathers are not waterproof and so they need to spread their wings to dry them.
