Beautyberry is a shrub known for its beautiful purple berries. In Southwest Florida, beautyberry is evergreen, but in cold weather, it is deciduous. The bright purple berries are spectacular with a metallic luster and grow in cluster along the shrub’s long stems forming beautiful berry lines with big leaves hanging down on both sides. The space between clusters is consistent and contrast between the bright metallic purple of the berries and the tender green of the big oval-shaped leaves creates a great visual sense of beauty and yet they are mainly great food for birds and animals! Texture has been added to the photo for an artistic touch.

The camera and different types of lenses provide a link to connect all the dots among various things I have learned in my life: art and technology. My interests are sunset, wildlife, and flowers. Having lived in Florida for many years, I came to know so many beautiful birds, their colorful feathers, striking shapes, and numerous species. I am always captivated by the sight of them. Florida flowers are equally amazing and year round. And sunset on the Gulf Coast is spectacular. I want to capture the beauty nature presents us.
