Breeding male red-winged black birds have a bright red patch of feather that is bordered by yellow feather. The female red-winged black birds are brown colored, looking quite different from the male birds. This causes confusing with juvenile red-winged black bird which also has brown feather. However, the red patch on the wing tells us that the bird should be a red-winged black male bird. The juvenile bird with brown plumage and stripes on top of black and red plumage is more interesting than the adult male bird.

Having lived in Florida for many years, I came to know so many beautiful birds, their colorful feathers, striking shapes, and numerous species. I am always captivated by the sight of them. Florida flowers are equally amazing and year round. And sunset on the Gulf Coast is spectacular. I want to capture the beauty nature presents us.
